Form 29-30 enquiries

Section 126(1)(a) of the Children’s Act, Act 38 of 2005 (as amended), requires that before any individual is employed or granted access to children—whether in Child and Youth Care Centres, shelters, drop-in centres, or schools—the person in charge of the institution must verify whether the individual’s name appears in Part B of the Child Protection Register.

Anyone listed in Part B is strictly prohibited from working with or having access to children, and the institution’s manager may be held legally accountable if such a person is employed.
